Heart, a national organization dedicated to honoring and preserving the
memory of Purple Heart recipients from all military branches" headed
a national campaign to have each state designate at least one highway

Nebraska's designated "Purple Heart
Memorial Highway" is US-34/N-79 Intersection, SE I-80. A designated
"Purple Heart Bridge" is 108th St. over I-80, Omaha. The signs
are not designated for any one individual but to honor all recipients
of the Purple Heart.
