ANIMAL-RELATED
In 2011, Nebraska reported animal-related vehicle crashes:
3,507 reported animal-related vehicle crashes.
3,225 property damage animal-related vehicle crashes.
320 injuries caused by animal-related vehicle crashes.
Four fatalities due to a deer-vehicle crash.
The economic costs in 2011 for crashes involving animals was $39,397,300* (not each fatal crash), per nonfatal disabling injury (A) (not each injury crash), and per property damage crash (including minor injuries, B & C).
92% of all the animal-related vehicle crashes were property damage crash related.
