If you have
questions about this project, Information Current as of November 2010
Proposed Construction: The project involves construction of a new single point urban interchange at the east junction of US-75 and N-2 that will carry N-2 over US-75. The work will include construction of several county roads in the southwest and southeast quadrants of the interchange to maintain access to adjacent properties and to maintain local road connectivity in the area. Lighting/Signals: Roadway lighting will be provided at the new interchange and will include under-deck lighting units at the N-2 Bridge over US-75. A permanent traffic signal will be located under the new bridge for the single point urban interchange. Right of Way: Approximately 34.1 acres of right-of-way acquisition will be required to construct the improvements. No businesses or private residences will be acquired to build the project. Acquisition or modification of access control will be required for this project. The existing access to the Outlet Mall from N-2 east of the intersection will be closed and the access relocated by providing a connection to the county roads to the east. Phasing: Construction of the improvements will be phased such that US-75 and N-2 remain open to traffic for the duration of the project. It may be be necessary for US-75 and N-2 to be reduced to one lane of travel in each direction during certain phases of the construction along these roadways. Schedule: The project will be constructed over a two-year period. This project is not shown in the current six year plan. Cost: The current estimated cost of this project is $20,500,000 dollars (present day dollars).
