BCAP
(Broken-back
Culvert Analysis Program) - This program (current Version 4.11c) was
developed through research conducted at the University of Nebraska
and sponsored by Nebraska Department of Roads. It provides hydraulic
analysis for steep culverts having one (Single Broken-back) or two
(Double Broken-back) breaks in the vertical profile. BCAP uses the
same routines as the FHWA HY-8 culvert program to determine headwater
depth at the culvert entrance. BCAP then calculates the water surface
profile through the entire culvert, using Gradually Varied Flow
equations and boundary conditions at each vertical break. The program
tests for the occurrence of a hydraulic jump in each culvert segment
to help determine outlet depth and velocity. |

Bluetops
This .NET application was developed
by NDOR staff to produce the printable bluetops construction books.
NDOR custom GEOPAK files include two different criteria files,
“PGRADE_BLUTOP DIVIDED” and “PGRADE_BLUETOP UNDIVIDED”, that are
processed through the Proposed Cross Section tool within Geopak.
These criteria files will create ASCII text files (*.CSV) based on
the analysis of the design cross section graphics. The BLUETOPS
application will reformat this CSV file and produce the bluetops
construction books for printing.

This .NET application was developed to aid designers
in creating note box and leaders for plan sets. The application
requires the .NET 3.5 framework, and is launched from within
Microstation. The application will create a predefined note box
height (based on scale) and the designer is able to dynamically
define the note box width. The leaders can be drawn at the same
time as the note box or at a later point. There are two modes,
As-built (fixed color) and Construction, which can toggled through a
Microstation key-in. The note boxes are drawn on NDOR predefined
levels. |

This .NET application was developed to aid
designers in drawing culvert pipe in plan and cross section views.
The application requires the .NET 3.5 framework, and is launched
from within Microstation. In this dialog, the designer can choose
different sizes, materials and shapes to draw in a dgn file. Once
drawn, the user has the ability to modify each element of the pipe
independently or as a graphic group. The application will also be
able to identify referenced culverts so that culvert extensions can
be drawn in the design feature file. There are three different
modes that can be toggled through a Microstation key-in: Existing,
Design, and As-built. Each mode has predefined NDOR symbology. |

Earthworks
This custom
application reformats the *.log file created by GEOPAK’s cross section
earthwork process, and creates design file “stickup”
sheets required for the plan set. (32 bit and 64 bit support)
Earthworks Stickup Sheets are INCLUDED in the
.EXE file above,
but if you want them separately as a PDF,

This application was developed to aid designers in
labeling horizontal alignments per NDOR standards. The application
requires the .NET 3.5 framework, and is launched from within
Microstation with Geopak running (for access to the gpk file).
NDOR’s alignments are annotated by using both Geopak’s D&C Manager
and this custom GPKTangent application. The application supports
many different types of horizontal alignments ranging from: survey,
CD roads, temp roads, ramps and mainlines. All different types have
predefined NDOR symbology and can be labeled in 20, 50, 100 and 200
scale. |

Pavement
Grades
This .NET application was developed by NDOR staff to
produce the printable pavement grade construction books. NDOR custom
GEOPAK files include two different criteria files, “PGRADE_BLUTOP
DIVIDED” and “PGRADE_BLUETOP UNDIVIDED”, which are processed through
the Proposed Cross Section tool within Geopak. These criteria files
will create ASCII text files (*.CSV) based on the analysis of the
design cross-section graphics. The PAVEMENT GRADES application will
reformat this CSV file and produce the pavement grade construction
books for printing. |

RMA
(Rational Method Application) - This program is the automated Rational
Method hydrology procedure. RMA will provide peak flow calculations
for an entire range (2-yr to 500-yr) of storm frequencies. The program
uses the I-D-F curves, Time-of-Concentration method and Runoff Coefficients
that are published in the NDOR Roadway Design Manual, for the state
of Nebraska. The program automates the procedures for computing
composite runoff coefficients and for interpolation of rainfall
intensities using computed time-of-concentration. |

This .NET windows application is used to create the
final ROW Staking report from data extracted from the ROW dgn file.
The process NDOR uses for creating staking reports requires that a
separate Microstation Visual Basic Application and Geopak Criteria
file (part of NDOR’s Microstation/Geopak Standards) is run which
creates a copy of the row design file, and extracts ROW point data
based on Microstation symbologies. The output of this process is a
raw data file in text format (*.txt). Once the raw data file has
been generated, the ROW Staking application can be used to reformat
for printing/delivery; as well as exporting the data to CSV format
for loading into survey equipment. |

This application was developed to aid designers
in placing NDOR border sheets. The application requires the .NET
3.5 framework, and is launched from within Microstation. The
application supports all current NDOR plan and cross section border
sheets from every division except Bridge. The border sheets are
placed in the dgn as references and can be placed at predefined
scales. The application has been configured so the designer can
place different amounts of sheet labeling. |

Slope
Stakes
This .NET application was developed by NDOR staff
to produce the printable slope stake construction books. NDOR
custom GEOPAK files include two different criteria files,
“LOC_SLOPESTAKE DIVIDED” and “LOC_SLOPESTAKE UNDIVIDED”, which
are processed through the Proposed Cross Section tool within
Geopak. These criteria files will create ASCII text files
(*.CSV) based on the analysis of the design cross-section
graphics. The SLOPE STAKE application will reformat this CSV
file and produce the slope stake construction books for
printing. |

Topo Labeler The
Topography Labeler application has been rewritten by Bentley
Systems for use in MicroStation V8i. It is used to place station
and offset text in a MicroStation dgn file, labeling surveyed
utility features. |
